So, this is really going to interfere with my diet...

But so totally worth it, don't you think?
I take back everything I ever said about how crazy I thought mothers were (and fathers, for that matter) for ever wanting a second child. I'm just going to chalk that one up to sleep deprivation and a few other things going on those first few months of Amelia's life.

I think the second you hear your child's heartbeat, you know just how precious any new life is. We are really excited about this new chapter in our lives. It truly is a miracle considering our past history with pregnancies.

So, the details are this: the due date is November 19, but I will deliver about 10 days before that. The perinatologist's (high risk OB) best guess at gender is that it's a girl, but obviously it's still early. However, he said he is rarely wrong. So, Brad is once again feeling like he's never going to retire, but he is reassurred thinking that he will have 2 daughters that will take care of him when he's old.

We have done some routine genetic screenings and are waiting for results. The doctor feels like everything on the sonogram looks great. He recommended a 20 week ultrasound be done for everyone's peace of mind due to Amelia's health issues.

Please pray that we have a healthy baby and that everything continues to progress well.
