And the Weekly Countdown Begins

I cannot believe that one week ago today my baby girl was in surgery. As Brad and I look at it, there are only 5 more weeks left of "the weapon." Thankfully she hasn't clubbed us with it...yet. She is doing great! In fact, she returned to her weekly Mother's Day Out program today. And if you are wondering, I DID do something fun today. And then I came home and did laundry. And loaded the dishwasher. And picked up the kitchen. Sometimes the chores never end.

I know that this blog has quite the following from Amelia's school. I specifically want to mention them again because they have been praying for her and passing the word along to other parents reminding them to pray for her as well. What a blessing it is to be able to send her to this school! Thanks Cornerstone Community Church Kid's Day Out!!

I can't believe it has already been a week! What a blessing that Amelia goes to school with such caring, Christian people.

Having a good attitude makes all the difference. I am so proud of you for saying this out loud. It doesn't help anything to wallow in the disappointment of having a child with an "imperfection". God allows these imperfections to form, and entrusts these children to very special parents. The moment I chose to accept that my Lily's imperfection was a gift, was the moment that my burdens were lifted. God is good!
